Governor of Central Bank of Syria Adeb Mayaleh said on Thursday that the banks are main factor and supporter of national economy, adding that because of the Amy’s sacrifices and heroism and the restoration of security to a number of regions, other new banks will be opened in Homs.

Mayaleh, at a celebration for re-opening Syria International Islamic Bank in Homs, said that re-opening the bank will give new momentum to the economic life in the Syrian central city.

For his part, Abdul-Kader Dweik, CEO of the Islamic Bank, said the aim of re-opening the bank is to offer all financial and banking services to the citizens in all regions, considering this step as “great success.”

In a relevant context, Mayaleh visited the Central Bank of Syria, Homs branch, inspecting the situation of the work and listening to a detailed explanation on the banking transactions by the bank’s staff.
