Damascus - The Syrian National Symphony Orchestra on Monday performed at the Opera Theater at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts, presenting Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 with the participation of Syrian soprano Talar Dekrmanjian.
The performance was composed of two parts, the first featuring works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart including a trumpet concerto, Susanna from the Marriage of Figaro, Pamina from the Magic Flute with Talar Dekrmanjian, and Fiordiligi from Cosi fan tutte.
The second part consisted of Beethoven's Symphony No. 6, which marks the first performance of this particular symphony by the Syrian National Symphony Orchestra.
Conductor of the Syrian National Symphony Orchestra Missak Baghboudarian told SANA that this performance attempted to encourage Orchestra members to perform solos, which included violin and trumpet solos.
