Rector of the University of Havana, prof. Dr. Gustavo Cobreiro Suarez, stressed that Syria will win the war against terrorism.

Meeting Syrian Ambassador in Cuba, Idris Mayya, Suarez said “The truth will impose its self at the end, and Syria will win the war it launched against terrorism.”

He expressed desire to develop cooperation between all Cuban universities, including Havana University, and the Syrian educational institutions, affirming that Syrian students in Cuba have effectively participated in the activities organized by Havana University.

For his part, Ambassador Mayya asserted that the educational process in Syria has continued despite all terrorist attacks launched by terrorists against some of the educational institutions.

He called for further enhancing scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries, affirming the importance of conveying a true image to the Cuban students on the reality of what is taking place in Syria.
