Speaker of the People’s Assembly Hamoudeh Sabbagh affirmed that eliminating terrorists’ remnants, establishing local reconciliation, ensuring the return of displaced citizens to their areas and reconstruction are Syrian state’s top priorities for the current stage.

Sabbagh’s remarks came during a meeting on Monday with Pakistani Ambassador in Damascus Rashed Kamal.

The Speaker hoped that parliamentary relations between the two countries will be reactivated for their common interests.

For his part, the Ambassador affirmed his country’s support for Syria’s unity and territorial integrity as well as the political solution to the crisis in it.
