Israeli entity smuggles 800 members of “White Helmets” from southern Syria to Jordan
The Israeli entity revealed on Sunday that it carried out a “secret night operation” in which 800 members of the so-called “White Helmets” and their families were evacuated from southern Syria to Jordan.

Spokesman for the Israeli occupation army Avichay Adraee said that the evacuation process was implemented upon a request from the US, the UK and other European nations, adding that they were transferred to Jordan and from there will be absorbed in Britain, Germany or Canada.

Jordan’s government confirmed it had “authorized the United Nations to organize the passage of 800 Syrian citizens through Jordan to be resettled in Western countries”.

“Britain, Germany and Canada made a legally binding undertaking to resettle them within a specified period of time due to ‘a risk to their lives’,” according to Jordanian Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Mohammed al-Kayed.

He added that these members will remain in a specific closed area during their passage through Jordan, which was committed by the three Western countries within a period of three months.

In a statement released early Sunday morning, Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Chrystia Freeland pledged Canada’s continued support for the White Helmets.

The Canadian television network CBC quoted Canadian officials who asked for anonymity as saying that Ottawa has decided to receive 50 percent of these members and their families, which could constitute up to 250 people and that Canada will work quickly with the UN officials to arrange their arrival in Canada in the coming weeks or months.

“Canada, working in close partnership with the United Kingdom and Germany, has been leading an international effort to ensure the safety of White Helmets and their families,” according to Canada’s Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland.

The “White Helmets” was established in 2013 in Turkey with a clear British-US-Western funding. The organization has raised many questions about its alleged humanitarian action, particularly as the group’s work has been confined to places where terrorist organizations are positioned, with its members frequently appearing in videos carrying machineguns and fighting alongside terrorist organizations.
